Description:
Changes in the breast, cervix, or prostate found through screening tests can often generate anxiety in patients. The National Cancer Institute has developed a series of materials to help patients understand screening results and that not all changes mean cancer. The booklets also explain important next steps in testing and diagnosis when changes occur. The booklets are also designed to complement health care provider dialogue with patients.
Partnering Opportunities:
The Office of Education and Special Initiatives is interested in collaborating with organizations or health care professionals who have used these materials in their clinical practice to explore evaluation of the material.
