NCI Practitioner Needs Analysis Study

• Improving the Dissemination and Implementation of Evidence-based Practices in Cancer Care: An Analysis of Practitioner Needs—A clearer understanding of cancer care practitioners' perspectives concerning barriers and supports to dissemination, and which sources of practice information are utilized by practitioners, is needed to provide fundamental insight into methods of improving the dissemination and implementation of research-indicated practices into cancer care. To explore these perspectives, a nationwide survey of 2864 healthcare practitioners was administered by NCI and the University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute, in cooperation with professional societies representing practitioners in cancer care, including ASCO, ONS, ASTRO, and AOSW.
